It is advised to wear suitable protective personal equipment (PPE) and be in safe working environment. Before starting this maintenance process, below tasks must be completed:
- Disconnect the battery / power supply
You will need to prepare the listed parts for this maintenance procedure.

Steps to follow
Step 1 Crank Removal
Step 3 Housing Removal
Step 4 Gearbox Module Cover Removal
Step 5 Removing old BB Shaft
Using a circlip plier, remove the 35mm circlip on the Driver Sprocket.
Once the circlip is removed, gently slide out the BB Shaft on the other side.
Rest the Driver Sprocket & chain on the Gearbox.
Step 6 Installing new Rear Spur Gear
Collect the replacement unit of BB Shaft and start aligning it into its designated hole.
Continue to install the BB Shaft until it is fully flushed.
Make sure that all gear teeth are meshed perfectly with the teeth on the idler gear.
On the other side of the bike, insert the Driver Sprocket back into the new BB Shaft.
Ensure that the sprocket is installed until its fully flushed, indicated by a visible groove for 35mm circlip.
Re-install the 35mm circlip into its designated groove to
|secure the BB Shaft with the sprocket.|
Visually inspect the installed sprocket and ensure that all gear teeth are hooked perfectly.
Step 7 Re-installing Gearbox Module Cover
Step 8 Testing new BB Shaft
Finally, twist the throttle or rotate the crank.
Make sure that the BB Shaft is rotating smoothly without any further issue.
