It is advised to wear suitable protective personal equipment (PPE) and be in safe working environment. Before starting this maintenance process, below tasks must be completed:
- Disconnect the battery / power supply
You will need to prepare the listed parts for this maintenance procedure.

Steps to follow
Step 1 Crank Removal
For this step, kindly refer the crank removal procedure by clicking the link below.
Step 2 Kickstand Removal
For this step, kindly refer the kickstand removal procedure by clicking the link below.
Step 3 Housing Removal
For this step, kindly refer the housing removal procedure by clicking the link below.
Step 4 Removing Logo Front
Using an Allen key, loosen up all screws on the Logo Front.
Make sure that the total 4 units of screw must be removed.
Once all screws has been removed, remove the Front Logo from the Frame.
Take out the EL Light Module from underneath of the Front Logo.
Unclip the EL Light Module from the cable clip.
Step 5 Unscrewing inverter
Using an Allen key, loosen up all screws on the inverter.
Total 2 units of screw must be removed from the inverter.
Step 6 Gearbox Module Cover Removal
Step 7 Disconnecting EL Light cable connector
Once the Gearbox Module Cover has been removed, look for the EL Light cable connector.
Carefully disconnect the EL Light cable connector.
Remove the old EL Light Module from the bike.
Step 8 Connecting new EL Light cable connector
Take the new EL Light cable module and carefully connect it with its correct connector on PCA board.
Step 9 Re-installing Gearbox Module Cover

Step 10 Securing inverter onto Gearbox Module
Ensure that the inverter’s orientation is correct and using a torque driver, insert all screw to secure the inverter.Firmly tighten the screws.
Step 11 Installing Logo Front
Take the EL Light cable and align it into the cable clips.
Secure it into the cable clips on the frame.
Take the EL Light module and align it into the Logo Front.
Once the EL Light is perfectly aligned into the Logo Front, align the Logo Front’s screw holes onto the frame.
Make sure that the orientation of the Logo Front is correct.
Using an Allen key, insert the screws and
|firmly tighten all screws.|
Step 12 Testing new EL Light
Take the battery and put it on the bike
Check the EL Light at the Front Logo.
Make sure that the EL Light automatically turned on once the battery is connected to the bike.
Ensure that the EL Light is working properly without any issue (eg: light not turning on, flickering, etc.)
