Getting ready

- Disconnect the battery / power supply to prevent the risk of electrical issue or hazard.

Parts required
You will need to prepare the listed parts for this maintenance procedure.
Replacement Crank x 2 sets | ![]() |
Replacement Bolt x 2 units | ![]() |
Steps to follow
Step 1 Loosening crank bolt
1.1 Using an 8mm Allen Key, loosen up the crank bolt. | ![]() |
1.2 Remove the crank bolt & set aside. | ![]() |
1.3 Repeat the previous steps for the other crank if required. | ![]() |
Step 2 Removing crank
2.1 Insert the crank opener tool into the crank’s thread hole. Manually screw in the crank opening into the crank’s thread hole. | ![]() |
2.2 Continue to manually screw in the crank opener until it feels tight. | ![]() |
2.3 Using the compatible spanner/tool, continue to screw in the crank opener until the crank is loose from the BB Shaft. | ![]() |
2.4 Once the crank is loose, remove the crank from the BB Shaft & set it aside. Remove the crank opener from the crank & repeat the previous steps for the other crank if required. | ![]() |
Step 3 Installing new crank
3.1 Collect the replacement crank & align the crank hole to the BB shaft. Make sure that the crank’s orientation is correct prior to inserting crank onto BB shaft. | ![]() |
3.2 Insert the crank until it is fully flushed. | ![]() |
3.3 Screw in the crank bolt and using an 8mm Allen Key, firmly tighten the crank bolt. Make sure that the crank is fully secure. | ![]() |
